On May 16, 2012, at a performance in downtown Los Angeles of my chamber musical play, "Music Out Of Nowhere," Isaac Burks, Deputy of Arts and Culture for Councilmember Tom LaBonge, presented me with this Certificate of Recognition for my efforts to bring back the atmosphere of Los Angeles during the 1930s.

The certificate reads: "The City of Los Angeles salutes you for all of your hard work to keep Los Angeles in the mainstream of great composers and performance art. MUSIC OUT OF NOWHERE is the perfect vehicle that brings the nostalgia of this great city alive. Your music lives and your listeners are transformed back to a beautiful time in Los Angeles. Bravo! You are an angel in the City of Angels."

My show is two hours of romance and nostalgia that tells a story of how good things can still happen to people even in the worst of times.

You don't have to be a hopeless romantic to like my show, but it wouldn't hurt!
